    Denso ? 24 or 27

I did some searching and found that Denso is the popular plug. Someone said IXU 24 for non moded and IXU 27 form mild MODS. My question is wouuld it be alright to run the 27's on a non moded ski for awhile. I plan on getting the intake and IC done just not sure when and if these plugs last like everyone is saying it will definetly be before they wear out.
    Thanks
    Joe

You would probably be fine with the 27s, though the possibility of fouling a plug is greater than if you ran the 24s. Considering the price of a Denso iridium I see why you wouldn't want to buy both sets

BTW... this makes for a great read about what plugs REALLY do. They do much more than just light the A/F mixture

That is some good reading. That got saved.
I knew soem of that and that I would probably risk some fouling with the 27's, but was wondering if anyone had ran the 27's in a stock ski for a periiod of time.
    Thanks

I fell into the Denso plug trap once. I wouldn't waste money on them a second time. Stock plugs are fine and dandy for my use.

Buy the cheap/inexpensice OEMs until you ad mods. Then get the 27s. This will also allow you to have some spare plugs in the cae one gets screwed up, OR you decide to replace them and return to OEM.

I gained 7 mph and 3 boat lengths out of the hole from changing to the 27s
