    Rebuild Break-in Question

If I had to change a set of rings on a stock bore cylinder during a engine rebuild, do I have to follow new engine break-in rules?

I certainly would, for an hour or two anyway. How did the cylinders look? There should have been lots of cross hatch visable. Did you cleanup the cylinders with a hone or anything?... Ron

Ron, cross hatch was visible. I didn't have to cleanup with hone. I just used scotchbrite and WD40 to cleanup an light carbon deposits. Really looked like new.
