New Member Intro / Noob Question
Just picked this up for my son (age 12) for our fourthcoming week vacation at Shasta Lake
I'm told by the seller that it's a 1988 - is there a way to know for sure what year it is
Runs good seems to be well maintained - probably put a pipe on it, and jet it up accordingly

Welcome - last two digits of the vin/bin numer is the model year. Will be on a plastic plate on the outside of the hull in the rear. I have no idea where it is on that ski.

I believe you can tell by the last 2 digits of the HIN (Hull Identification Number) i.e. if the last three numbers are "00" then the ski is a 2000 model..

OK! So it's a 1989 - thanks guys
Can anyone tell me what model? I assume it's a WR500F
Does that sound right?

yea looks like it is personally i would not put a pipe on. dont even know if factoy pipe makes one and if they did they dont make it anymore when your son grows out of it he will sometime sell that and get a better ski $$$
