    Ebay SC washers

Has anyone ever bought any of the ebay metal SC washers? If so, what experience did you have with them.

I just installed a set that my friend bought and the slip moment was a bit high... like locked up completely I pulled my Rude off the shelf to compare washers and the ebay set was visually thicker than the set on the Rude. I wish I would have thought to check this before wasting so much time.

    Crap!

Nils, my Rude is an '06. The SC that I put the ebay washers in was a stock '05. Actually, I remembered having a spare '05 SC with metal washers and just compared the two '05s, and sure enough, these ebay washers are thicker.

Here is a pic of the ebay washers next to the ceramics I pulled off the SC:

I've got to get with my friend and find out which ebay listing he used. I've seen a couple and don't want to brand the wrong person without knowing more.

    Sure was disappointing though!

There were a couple of people selling crap washers. Just standard metal. There are a couple trusted ones. I will PM you the info after I check on eBay real quick who is still selling them.

The most stupid thing is that people still cut corners 2 save a few $$$. YOU buy a 13,000 $$$ ski and save 20.00 $'s on a critical part. e-bay?.... Try buying parts from 4tec online store at Green Hulk. Shoot 2 birds with 1 stone. we support the on line store and get quality parts and at the same time support the website so it stays alive forever for our future 4tec gearheads siblings YOU can't put a price on "Piece of Mind" that your getting the right thing, maybe on a piece of A$$ you could. But not on Jerry's 4tec online store.

Jeff, i have had people send me some washers they bought off of ebay and i tried to install them with the same results. Complete lock up or too much slip. No consistancy! In every case i ended up installing Riva washers onto their supercharger and sent their ebay washers back with their supercharger
