Transom Plate Install
Hey guys, is there a how-to for swapping transom plates? I searched and found nothing so I'm assuming it's self-explanatory, but wanted to make sure before I tear the ski apart. It's a 2000 GPR hull.

It's pretty easy...just a bunch of bolts.
Once you have all the bolts and nuts removed from the inside of the ski, use two of the long pump bolts, and screw them into the transom bolt holes, where the pump normally bolts. Once they bottom out against the back of the hull, you will hear the sealant popping and finally break lose. Remove the bolts before finally removing the transom plate from transom.

and once you get it off, a soft wire wheel will make short work of removing the remaining goo.

When installing the replacement make sure the transom is touching all 3 locator tabs on the hull. Also I suggest using 5200 for this job.
