    06' head for 03' engine?

I have a stock 03' GP1300 and I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine (keeping it stock). I am looking at buying a head from an 06' machine from JROD and I just want to make sure the head will fit my machine. The part #'s are different so I just want to be sure. I have read some really nice comments about JROD so I have no worries about doing business with him, and I also know he is pretty busy lately so I'm trying not to bother him with too many questions.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

Anybody know? I've tried the search several times and can't seem to come up with a definitive answer.

Jim I couldnt tell you. I would think it would be the same. Prob another option to crossreference is in the online parts store. Look up both years and see if the part number is the same

    03' part# 60T-11111-00-8S
    06' part# 60T-11111-10-8S
Slightly different part#, wondering if it will still work/if anybody has tried an 06 head on an 03.

It will work, especially if you upgrade to the 05+ head gasket

I believe the 05+ head yields a little more compression too.

You realize he just makes all this stuff up, right? There is no WFO - he's a phantom.

Hi Jim....have you had any further success with the 06 head on your 03 ski yet ? If so have you seen a considerable difference with the 06 head & were there any problems encountered along the way ?
Have a good day Jim & many thanks

Would be very interested in your results/experience...

These are on my next mod list (05+ head with 05+ gasket)
