    97 yamaha 1100 bogging

hoping someone can point me in the right direction. i have a 97 yamaha 1100 wave runner with 73 original hrs on it. i have owned it for 3 years now and have never had any problems with it until today. it is always winterized and garaged. i will run 58-60 mph all day long (62 fastest) with my son (65-70lbs) and i (205lbs). i took it out today for the first time this season and it wouldnt go over 43mph. it was idling fine and seemed ok at low speed but when i gunned it you could feel and hear it lay down and have no pick up. then after i would get off of it and try to hit it again it would just bog out and go nowhere. even times it would take off clean it would fall flat. it has a new fuel filter, plugs and a battery. compression is about 110 in all 3 cylinders. i am thinking the carbs and or fuel pump. any thoughts?

If the carbs have never been rebuilt, I suspect this is the culprit. Since the compression is good, you know you do not have any major problems.

Carbs need inspected at the very least ! and don't wait 3 years between carb inspection/cleaning . the fuel pump is rebuildable also
