    High speed adjustment?

I attempted to open the highs on my SLX780 machines today but there is a little tab on the screw which prevents me from backing the screw out???? What am I missing here?

The plastic limiter cap can be removed with a slight pry of a screwdriver.

guess i am still not getting this??? Are you saying the actually screw has a cap on it? The screws on my machines have a slot for a screwdriver (which you cant get to) and this screw has a little flat tab which restricts the turn when it hits the carb barrel for the high speed screw

Yes, the cap is on the adjuster. Pry the plastic cap/tab off.

You don't take the screw out. You simply remove the limiting cap. It allows further adjustment of the carb settings. Usually only needed if you perform mods. to the engine.
