    Low 12Volt meesage with beep

I own 2006 RXT Sea-Doo PWC. About one week ago on the water suddenly I saw on display: "Low 12 Volt " message, blinking battery icon and fault code:062. It repeated many times.
After returning home I recharged battery.
During next use was the same after 15 minutes from start.
I bought new battery - chrged it and... again the same after 30 minutes...
Do you have any ideas what' wrong...?

    Regards,
    Jacek

Have you changed your air intake? If the rectifier in the stock airbox doesn't get enough air, it will overheat and cause these problems.

I never changed air intake. Airbox is factory mounted at production line. So what exactly must I check (change)...?

    have a voltmeter?

u need to check if your battery is being charged when the ski is running... the EMS system and ski accessories draw off the battery while the machine is running. if the battery does not get recharged when the ski is runnning, it will drain the battery and give you a 12V low...

IF you have a voltmeter, start the ski and put voltmeter on battery terminals and note the reading... it should be in the neighborhood between 13.5 - 13.9 volts when the ski is running and being revved a bit...

if not... either regulator needs to be replaced or a fuse is blown that fuses the charging system or worst case something inside the PTO cover

    Many thanks for repy.
Will check all possibilities you described.

I'm afraid about this situation - just replaced ceramic washers for metal ones but some parts are still in the engine...

Steve, I'm experiencing the same thing. As long as I keep the battery charged on the tender overnight is there any reason I can ride it during the day for 2 wks until I can get back home to fix it??

Fuses are ok, PTO cover checked - is ok. Battery is not charging.
I think it's regulator or... rectifier in the airbox - is it possible? Can anyone else confirm that?
What is the cheap way to get regulator # 278001969 with shipping to Europe?
    Regards.

Larry... depends i guess how much ur gonna ride it... every second of run-time is draining the battery...

and having the battery go from full charge all night to riding it and draining it to nothing and then charging it again isn't helping the stamina of your battery for the long-term..

i dont know the exact draw of the EMS system off the battery when the charging system is not working... so i dont know how much run-time u get from a fully charged battery until it's just going to die on you.. and these skis once under 11.9 or 12volts dont like to start anyway.. so if u ride it for an hour or two, stop somewhere and turn the ski off, theres a high chance ur gonna get a CLICK when u go to restart and u'll be stuck

278001969 should be the correct part # for a new regulator for 4-tec motors

but i'd throw a voltmeter on there first to make sure it's your problem.. i think they are something like $150 for a new one?

Already did it. Result: 12,1 Volt on the jetski move = no charging.
