Yea, the price for them it outrageous. If you know how to DIY an LED setup, you can make pretty much the exact ones that the Companies offer for less than $50.

    UPDATE: 8/31/08

I installed a pair of High Intensity LED Flood Lights and a pair of High Intensity LED Spotlights (Oznium.com) above both drain plugs on my Speedster 150. Total cost of lights, rocker switches, and in-line fuse holders was around $80.

My pics don't do the lights justice. The blue LED's look good while idling...

but really look incredible when driving at night. The LED's blue light is amplified by the jet wash/surface spray resulting in an "afterburner effect" that looks bad aszzzzzzzzz!

Only "drawback" was drilling a small hole (X2) through the stern to pass the wire into the engine compartment. I liberally applied silicon to both sides of the hole to prevent water seepage. I've put some hard hours (wake jumping) on the boat since the install and LED's continue to work great w/ no leaking whatsoever.

Yep, I've got to agree bigtime, that is definitely bad-azzzz. If I boated at night, I'd be all over that mod (in Florida, if you're not in by sunset, the mosquitos own you, and it's no fun hitting a batch of those at 60mph). People might want to know where you got them and how much.

Freakin' government out of control, that hurts every freedom-loving part of my body. Sometimes I wished I lived on a larger lake, but at only 350 acres, my lake is too small for the gestapo to even worry about launching in, which makes it nice.
