Is this related to the bouyancy factor from salt water compared to fresh water? If yes I thought that only applies to Humans ability to float? ( deep sea diver 101)

I never loose RPM, just a mile or hour or so.. Today I ran 79.4 @ 8540 RPM in salt, usually I run low 80's in fresh.. so not to bad of a lose.
