    1996 Polaris SLT700 has no thrust & a vibration

Hi I am new here & looking for some confirmation to what I believe to be the problem. My polaris slt700 will only go forward at very slow speeds (nothing over 10 miles hour) if you accellerate it starts to thrust and then the motor just spins up and there is no more propulsion & it vibrates really bad. I believe it is the drive coupler that is causing the problem. What do you think?

after you look in the pump front and back and find nothing
you need to pull the pump,,, 4 long bolts NOT the nuts
    enjoy and have fun

Yeppers, if you find no wood, twigs etc. on the impeller or debris blocking the intake pull the pump and check the impeller, driveshaft and couplers for damage.

I'd also like to WELCOME you to the Green Hulk Forums!!

Yeah I originally thought it had gotten debris or sticks but there wasn't anything. Do you think I should go ahead and change the coupler?

Everything looks in great shape, splines were great on both ends, impeller looked great..no nicks. Sleeve looked great. Greased everything up that needed to be & sealed everything up and reinstalled. Going to put mark on coupler housing & shaft to see if it spins when I put it back in the water. Also going to put in new spark plugs. We will see. Will keep you posted.
