    Hey everyone!!! Need your help...

    So, how's everyone's summer going so far! I hope everyone has been well since we spoke last year.

    Question for you all...
    My Polaris 785 Pro won't start this year. Brand new battery, fully charged. When I do the usual, sometimes it turns over, then stops, other times all I hear is a "click" coming from area of the electrical box.

    Any suggestions? I'm a limited do-it-yourselfer, and you guys have helped me with both my display taking a dump, and the steering. I was able to do both myself, but if you think i"m over my head on this starting problem, feel free to tell me!

    Welcome back chic.

    Remove the drive shaft cover remove the spark plugs and try to turn the drive shaft buy hand. Also check the Impeller for binding.

    Thanks

    Thanks, Beerdart. I'll give that a try tonight after work and post tomorrow morning. We'll go from there. I also hooked the battery charger up overnight to see if perhaps there was a drain or something on that.

    Thanks, again.

    Battery Blues?

    Often the battery goes bad over the winter,and when you hook the charger up it will tell you that it's "fully charged".. Don't believe it.. Hook up your ski to a good battery, or connect it to your car with jumper cables.. ( many people say not to do this but I have never had a problem).. BE SURE NOT to hook them up backwards.. The other advice to check the cranshaft rotation , etc is all excellent.. Don't buy a cheap battery, and I recommend updating your 785 to a larger battery. You will have to cut the foam to do this but it's worth it as the OEM 785 battery is not designed for heavy use. I like the same size that comes in a SL-750, Sl-1050, Yamah Superjet, etc.
    Thanks,
    Randy

    Battery problems...

    Guys;

    I think this is a battery issue. I put a new battery in and it said it was fully charged, so I only charged it for about an hour. Then, I put it on charger overnight, and tried starting her last night. I think Watcon's right...it wasn't fully charged. It's turning over now, but sporadically. I haven't gotten her to start fully yet, but at least things are moving in there. Every third time i try to start it or so, it just "clicks" inside the engine compartment, like it's coming from the electrical box. i didn't have a lot of time last night, but will be really trying to get her going tonight after the gym.

    Could it be a started going bad?
