Who has a 951 X4 XP? Like it?
I've been thinking about building one for over a year. Dragged my '96 XP out of storage and I think it's a good candidate for a transplant.
Looking for opinions from those who own one. Worth the effort? Are there handling quirks, etc? Not looking for an "all lake" ski - I have a couple of those - I just want a really fast & fun sleeper "cove boat"
I have a carbed 951 with mild porting and 160psi head sitting around doing nothing. I think it's time I put it to work
Thanks for any input.

Fun build.. Easy 70mph ski too.. No real quirks, except for jumping clear out of the water on holeshot..
here's the pics to our build a few years back.

I have always loved those pics Steve.. Really good and clean install.
Ours was done in a weekend, with beers in hand. We were bored, had the 96 with a blown motor and a spare 951 sitting on the shelf. When we did it, we hadn't heard of the conversions that others had done.. We just dug into it and BAM.. done.
We didn't feel like relocating the exhaust outlet either, so we just cut down a stinger tube from an XPL and straight piped it out the back with no waterbox. The goal was to be able to switch back to a 787 if need be.
