    T-x running 7960 rpm

Should I be running a little more rpm's...

    My ski is currently stock

And the water water temperature was about 84 degrees on Lake Hartwell

There was about 4 in of chop

The speedo said 70 but I haven't GPS'd it yet

What was the temp/dew point/barametric pressure/altitude??? All of these things effect your rpm.

Before I installed the performer kit/prop/nozzle, etc....I noticed my T-X would not run more than 8040rpm, not matter what. If the temp goes up, the rpm goes down. Also, not all stock props are pitched the same. Your prop may have too much pitch in it. I'm not up to 8100 rpm from a stock of 8040....and at times 7980. Prop/nozzle make a big difference, along with other mods.

The speedo only goes to 70mph even if you dropped off Niagara falls. Get a cheap GPS like the Garmin E-trex. Got mine at Walmart for $100, and got a GPS mount at gps city online. Drilled two holes off to the side of the glove box lid and mounted it there. Works great. So far I'm averaging between 72 and 73mph.

remember that on a stock ecu the ideal rev is 8000 so your there. dont panic. the timing drops dramatically at rpms higher than 8000.

Wow, great readings! I am sure you will gain some speed GPSing by yourself. GPS when at lower fuel, I am sure you will be even more impressed by your numbers.
