    Thermostat Pop-Off Assembly??

I know I have been asking A LOT of questions, and everyone is probably fed up with me, but I have one more.

Where is the thermostat Pop-off Assembly? My friend that is helping me working on the ski is trying to do EVERYTHING except the carb...

Also could a rich mixture cause the engine to do what it has been (holding the throttle and it boggs down)?

Off the end of the cooling bar, last cyl towards back of the ski. Two allen head bolts hold the t-stat housing to the bar.

    Should look like this.

Clean inside, with the plunger not stuck shut. The thermostat should open by itself when sitting in a pot of hot water, well below boiling temperature (about 160F should see it open).
