    stator question

    what is the use of the red/white wire? if it is lost contact??? will this cause hard starting or causes the weak spark???

    seaobin said he had no spark w/ a high resistance on red/white to blk.

    mine was the white/yellow to black

    Absolutely, R/W, G/W and B/R are all on the high side of the coils. So yes. if you lose one of those, you will not get a good spark

    r/p and yellow are lower voltage coils ( i believe these are also the charging coils)

    Red/Purple to Yellow is the alternator charging coil, also used to feed the MFD tachometer input.

    Red/Purple connects to the main 12 volt battery positive.

    The Yellow wire goes to the voltage regulator, which also contains the half-wave rectifier to produce DC charging current from the AC coil's output.

    alternator coils red/purple to yellow .6 ohms
    trigger coils white/yellow to black 220 ohms
    pulser coils blue/red to red/white 90 ohms
    exciter coils red/white to green/red 490 ohms

    ok..so i lost connection of the red/white wire.... so, whats the use of the pulser coils and the exciter coils?????
