    Learning Key

I was wondering if it would be possible to have my learning key reprogrammed for 22 mph? That is the speed we wakeskate behind my ski and I was thinking it would be nice to have a key that would limit that speed. Is this possible?

What a great idea! I know how tough it is to hold a speed while towing a skier.
Let us all know if SD dealer can do this.

Since it limits RPM not speed I don't think this would work out great...

You are going to need a bit more throttle than that at times.. ie getting out of water, if they cut hard around the side or turning you need to get on it a bit more to maintain speed etc..

Just called Matt at Walt's Motorsports in Lake Havasu; He said you can have your learning key reprogrammed to act like your normal key, no limit. But you cannot reprogram it for a different RPM.
This is a bummer. I was thinking of programming mine to about 6000rpm to just cruise up river.

There are two preset programs in the stock ECU for rpm limits. The key is assigned to one of those two presets. That is all there is. No specific rpm, no specific mph, nothing else.

I wish there was some way to have a cruise control on my ski. It would be nice if they made a perfect pass for PWC's.

you could possibly get a finger throttle and adjust the tensioner to where you can only pull the throttle so far inward...

As Rob mentioned above, this wont work because if you have ever pulled a skier or anything like that then you probably know you dont want slack in the rope and sometimes you need some extra power to keep the rope tight. Like coming out of a whip. This is what I love about towing behind a pwc.
