    Exclamation OK I'm done searching....

    Please

I have searched high and low and i can not find the answer.

What is the carb re-build kit that i need for my 2001 GP1200R. I know it has BN44's in it but are they SBN or I boidies? What needles and seats do i need?

It is bone stock. (except for D-plate, prop, grate.)

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

    Thanks!

    Cool

you might what to look at install T-handle adj. at this time at least high speed and do exh. bracket mod so you can get at center carb
also think about drill out return restrictions in carb's and install mukuni main jet (#100) in last fitting heading back to tank(tap with 5mm tap and it will screw right in)that way if any one of your fuel pump fail others will balance pressure/volume out.and replace or take out fuel selector early one fail often

    thats a good start

    later cd

To see the size of the needle and seat, pull the seat out and the size is stamped on the bottom.

    Talking One More Thing....

Thanks for all of your help. I'm a long time rider and first time poster on a PWC website. I have always wrenched on my skis but i'm glad to have found this site with it's welth of information. Like i said in my previous post my ski is a 2001 GP1200R. I am the original owner. The ski has 298 hours on it. The last 40 or so hours are on a fresh motor re-built under extended warranty by Broward Motorsports (Great Dealer and Shop). The D plate is installed, solas prop, R&D intake grate, and Wave Eater kit. No rust in the engine bay, pump or cables. The ski runs like a dream. I was on the flats at the Florida Keys (Islamorada) last week and the ski did 68.9 mph (GPS confirmed). I know that this number does not compare with the other numbers i've seen on this site but i think that it's pretty impressive do to the fact that other than the mods mentioned the ski is stock. NO pump sealing, no ride plate, nothing. I started this thread because i want to rebuild my carbs. Yes, i rebuilt carbs before on my X-2 and on my DRZ 400 SM. I know its long over do and i probably have some good varnish build up. I have found the rebuild kits and needles and i have one more question for you guys. With my set up, would i benefit from re jetting the carbs? If so what should i use? I found this in a search: 125 Main, 110 Pilot, 1.5 Needle, and 95 gram spring. Thanks for your help.

    Mike

Here is a copy of the parts list that comes in the SBN-I Yam rebuild kits, The correct Mikuni part number for the kits is MK-44BNi-YAM Use only Mikuni kits, do not use off brands the quality is not the same.
