I personally would stay away from the single bar grates.

The 1200 grates are good for hook up/holeshot with little cavitation. A mph slower on top end vs 800 grate.

The 800 grates are good for 1mph on top speed and less hook up/holeshot and more cavitation.

just what it says... single crossbar in rear vs double crossbar

the single bar is for very rough water and loads the pump a lot more than the double bar grate

I would think single bar is prone to breaking easily. Odd that you don't hear much about them; never knew they where for rough water...

so when people say The 800 grates are good for 1mph on top speed and less hook up - is that compared to a single or double 1200 grate?
