get an accordion boot in addition to your carbon seal

the rest use the old stuff.... no reason to replace the floating support ring unless u mangle it when u take it out

I do it without the tool but it kinda takes two people to make it easy...

I kneel up on the top deck facing the front of the ski with one leg in each foot well and pull back on the boot... Your help removes the c-clip. Easy and done.

If you have someone that can help you then you dont need the tool. Otherwise the removal of the driveshaft is simple. Slide the boot back with the pump on, remove the clip then pull it all apart. Its actually quite simple.

I did it without the tool the 1st time... was cake... wife held the shaft from the pump side. Took no more then 30 seconds to remove. I just replaced my carbon seal too... since I had everything apart I also replaced the ss ring and the orings inside it. Figured I might as well since its not really expensive.

Aha, we need to teach you how to do it with a "nut" drop inside the pump trick. 1 person operation. I have a very good teacher

if u get BOTH hands on the metal hat seal, the ceramic seal & boot then pull back it will reveal the c clip ......then hold it with ONE hand u can use a screw driver laid right there in the hull to grab to pop the C-clip off with the other hand and its a ONE man operation!!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!! good luck!

How much is a new carbon seal? And how much is a new accordian boot? What are the part numbers for each?

    Thanks.
