siphon some out frome the bottom of the tank into a clear bowl and look for bubbles in the bottom. They wont mix so you can see it.

I test fuel for the military and we do these crazy tests with black lights and whatnot. An easy way is to visually inspect for free water and entrained water. Put the fuel in a glass jar and shake it in a circle and make a "little tornado" with the fuel inside, free water will be at the bottom and look like a bubble like speed ski said. However entrained water will look cloudy. Premium gas is not cloudy. If it is cloudy, I would dump the gas from the whole fuel system, it can do some really nasty stuff. Usually it only happens from your fuel tank sitting somewhere damp for a long time, and condensation takes over. I would think with a bunch of jarring that free water could turn into entrained water though. I know that was way too technical and boring, but none of the helicopters/ospreys/herriers I fueled up went down from bad fuel!
