Bending a Prop? Running 7800-7900 RPM w/ GH Wheel and 15/20

    Guys,

Was interested in trying to tweak a prop. All my mods are in my siganture below.

Ran it for the first time yesterday, didn't like the low RPM's I saw. Don't know MPH (dreamo-meter said 70 - has never read over 70). Was atleast that.

Anyway, heading to the cottage for the weekend and wanted to tune the prop.

Never done it beofre so I need some help. Any pics or instructions would be awesome.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Got a copy of that. However, would like to know how people are going +-1 mm. I don't have a guage, so don't know if that's possible.

Do I need to bend 2 in up from the trailing edge to get the entire bend in the last 2"?

I've never re-pitched myself, I found it better to send it back to SKAT and to have it professional re-pitched. I had problems with RPM down here in the Florida heat with my old 15/20 w/ 2mm added, then I had a SKAT 15/19 repitched to a 15/18.5 and never have had that problem again. I'm 8540 RPM in salt water or fresh, hot as hell or chilly. It worked for me!!

Normally I would too, just to late for my trip.

When you take the prop outa the pump, sit it on a flat surface and stand a ruler next to it and measure the blades...top point of the outer circumference....and the bottom/trailing edge.

Bend the blades and check constantly against what you started with.

    It's slow going...be patient....no kinks.
