    1997 Yamaha waverunner 760 oil

I've got a Sea-Doo and i know it takes specific synthetic oil. But a friend of mine is buying a pair of Yamaha waverunner 760s and i'm not sure what type of two stroke oil she needs. And i forget if she said they are coming with service manuals. Any suggestions???

There is not a need for a specific type of oil in the 760 motor. Quicksilver from walmart will work just fine. It just needs to be a marine TCWIII rated two stroke oil.

    What about for a 2000 GP1200R?

Same type of oil TCW III rated oil. I also own an 1996 sea doo xp. I rremoved the oil injection and also uses TCW-3 oil in it without any problems. In my former 95 xp I used it for years without problems. The use of the "special" sea doo oil tends to get expsensive. I just left it in the tank to lubricate the rotaryshaft gear.

If the 1200R still has the cat-con, use the Yamalube recomended in the manual. I believe its 2W. You may be able to use another type of synthetic, but you can't use the cheap walmart brand if you have the cat-con.
