Like the title says. Also if you have any other ride plate that will stop porpoising, let me know.

Going with a smaller degree wedge will also help with keeping the nose down.

He's got a 750, short pump. No wedge installed on them.

    long plate

if its a short pump setup i wouldn't run the long plate unless i converted the ski over to a long pump, you can run it without the long shaft, just put the wear ring behind the stator

is there any reason why I shouldn't use the long plate? I know I will loose speed, but it is really choppy where I ride(1-3ft), and my kidneys could use a break.

Get the plate. Sponsons will help alot as well. The SL hull isn't ideal for choppy conditions, but yuou can make it betyter with these 2 mods. A scoop type intake grate will also aid in the boat sticking to the water.

Get an aggressive grate for one if you're riding in chop. No 650 grate. solas, 750 grate, Jet Dynamics, LCP grate. If you do get a 2 wedge and flip it upside down, get one without the lip on the small end.

I guess if you did get the long plate, then a 650 grate wouldn't be so bad.
