Thread: SC Clutch

Ok, I recently had my supercharger assembly rebuilt with metal washers and ceramic bearings at the local stealership and all of a sudden, I went from 7900 rpm to 6400 rpm, LAME! I seriously doubt jerrys washers went out in 10 hours, I think that it is the supercharger slipping because it was not properly torqued down at said named stealership. So, how tight do you torque the supercharger nuts down and what type of loctite (blue or red) is everyone using on the supercharger nuts?

You torque the nut to 22 ft lbs and use red loc tite.
I sure hope the nut didn't come off

I highly doubt the nut came off, I'm just going to check the torque and possibly add a new set of spring washers. Has anyone ever done a write up on the complete rebuild of a supercharger before?
