Thumbs up SLP Flow Rite Vent under flow of water

Just thought I would take a picture of an SLP Flow Rite Vent under a flow of water in my garage sink. Curiosity was killin me on how good these work. all I can say is, I'm impressed.

Not sure if I am going to add 2 or 4 to the cowling. I assume the more the merrier to disperse heat from the engine compartment.

Want to see something even more freaky on those?

Hold it under the water at about a 30 degree angle and turn it, at one point the water will go through it like its not hardly there, but at almost every other point it holds water out like crazy.

How about cleaning that sink before you show it to the world.

Yep, they work fine that way but put some suction on them and they will suck water right in...

The only way I would use a flow rite on a ski that would have a probability of the flow rite being covered in water is if it was used with an exhaust fan. I hope that made sense. I would use flow rites on a drag ski if I knew all the riding would be dry or of it was an exhaust fan outlet. Like Larry, said apply the slightest vaccuum and the water is coming right on in. This would probably be no problem with the Riva rear air but on a RXP or RXT where the SC is pulling air from the hull, watch out.
