    first ride on 1300r

    shes a 03 w riva air filter,d plate ,efi controler,ho pump,solas dyna 14-20,riva 1200 top loader
    it really sux until the pvs open
    runs ok after but sux untill 5k
    where should the efi controler be set ?
    5-7-1-6.5
    also been reading that the efi controlers go bad
    what happens? lose spark? just poor perf?
    the efi was on the ski when i got it so i have no directions
    what do the led lights mean?

    Easy you don t need a EFI controller with your mods

    what do your plugs look like? Im sure there super rich
    I would back the first two settings down one number at a time making sure you dont lean it out too much
    if those are the only mods you have you need very little extra fuel

    Have you tryed running the ski with out the controller.

    or if using premium fuel is an option, add an aftermarket head, that will add some get and and go to the ski

    Have you checked the PV servo motor for proper operation? #1 cause of "running like crap to 4500-5000 rpm then it hits hard"

    i have unplugged the efi with no difference
    the head is a option id like to explore
    i have a protec billet head for a 1200 can i just add 1300 domes ?
    i can hear the pvs cycle through when the motor is off but how do ya know there working while riding?
    do the pvs break like the 1200s?
    obill your correct about the 4500 -5k hit
    if you stab the throttle from idle it will take off ok
    but i was riding my son and he just wants to cruise about 25-30mph
    in the 4k rpm
    i want it to be crisp @ any rpm like my standup

    Most times when I hear this issue it is due to the PV's always being open which causes the low end bogging. Best way to check is to start it with seat off and visually monitor the movement. if all shafts are moving correctly then you want to check the valves themselves. Process of elimination, you just want to put a check in the box that the valves are not the issue.

    i will in-depthly inspect the pvs
    i have done a serch for the efi controler directions with no luck
    anyone have a copy ?

    found the directions on riva site
    also was looking @ stage 1/2 kits
    basicly my ski is stage 1 w/o free flow and trim tabs/ride plate
    looks like the only diff in stage1/2 is the head
