    Oil

On my ski is says to only use Yamalube 2W oil, but I heard from a friend that as long as the oil is TC-W3 then it is fine to put in. Is this true??

    Anyone else?

I just don't want two conflicting opinions. Don't know which is right (although I am leaning towards Z Mann over my friend).

Anytime you ask an oil related question, you will get conflicting opinions, fact of life..

Synthetic is superior in every laboratory test that oil can be given, yet i know many who have ran the yamaha non synthetic for hundreds of hours with no problems..
It appears the (extra) protection that synthetic offers, may just be (excessive) protection on our little 2 strokes and not really necessary.
If it were necessary to run synthetic, im sure the manufacturers would mandate it for use in their watercraft, but they dont, so its not.
The biggest benefit i have seen from synthetic is it seems to smoke less then non synthetic, which makes the tree huggers happy..

Please explain....I may need to switch...I thought the interceptor oil was for p.v. motors like my gpr??? I have run Dominator but went interceptor after reading the info on the side of the jug about power valves. If the Dominator makes my ski faster then Im all-in.....
