2008-SHO wont run over 47 MPH

Got a new sho and it wont run over 47 MPH, it is not in L-Mode, we picked up something in the grate, and pulled it out right away, (within a minute or so) When we restarted the ski and took off it would no run, we then had to ride it back to the boat ramp, no warning sensors etc, just wont run, nothing after half throttle at all???

Possible something damaged the prop or there may be something rapped around the prop shaft like a rope or something, what exactly did u get in the grate ?

    Nothing in the prop -

it was a plastic bag, it does have a little vibration right off the bottom, but otherwise nothing, it seems like its in a safe mode, when l ride it you can give it full throttle and all you get is 47 max out of it, also you can let off the throttle say half way and you still get the same MPH, so after half throttle its dead???

Thumbs up RE: SHO wont run....Hmmmm??

Went back out to the ski and started looking the engine compartment over and found out that the hose from the supercharger (big hose) leading up to the right side of the motor had came off....Hmmmm, that might have something to do with it...,YA-THINK?? Got her all hooked up, but there is a little noise around the supercharger area, sound kinda like a bearing sound?? Going over to a friend and check his out and see if he has the same sound, otherwise we have another issue-

Thanks to all who even read this, this kind of stuff eats me up when something is brand new....

That noise is the 'charger it's self. You can also hear it wind down when you shut off the engine.

Same noise on ours, the other one at the dealers was the same as well. Our dealer, just to double check rang Yamaha who said its normal.

My waverunner tech, said that the bearing noise is normal. As per Yami in GA.
