The water in the hull is possibly from the front being under water or getting pass the seat. I wouldn't go crazy looking for a leak.

there is 1 cm space in the front of any ultra (between storage box and hull)
and the seat is also not perfect on the hull, so there is always bit water in the hull or storage box,

Reverse in the manner you have been doing will cause the thru hull to leak badly. Trust me Ive done it and didnt really understand the amount of water. Till I thought about what I was doing when using reverse at that high of RPM's. Your pump pressure rises and water is putting alot of pressure on that thruu hull.
