RXTX Hood shock keep poping off

A couple weeks ago there was a thread regarding the hood shock popping off. I've fixed this 5 times + dealer said they realigned the brackets but still keeps popping off. The ski is going back to the dealer again tomorrow. What is the fix???
Does SD have an update yet?

    Thank you!!!

I am using an old stock grate to keep my hood up when needed.
Try searching a thread on hood from SEARAY as there was some info on how to fix it. some say strut needs replacing and others say different. I dont think just putting the ball back in will fix it, and that is why i have done nothing. plus, no way in hxxx is my ski going to dealer this time of year.

    good luck

don't send your ski's back to the dealer if your in your summer, itl'll only be a ball and socket issue, you'll have loads of warranty on these ski's, ride um hard and send it in in winter, regards bill

I've done this.......still no worky. I now carry a 2x4 to keep the hood up.
I'll be away at a meeting for a week so this will be a good time to take it to the dealer AGAIN........

Anyone know if a simple fix?

after the 3rd time of trying to fix it. I tried epoxying the clip in with the ball in place to see if I could keep the clip from spreading but the epoxy cracked easy. Right now I have an "X" of zip ties around it and it stops the clip from flexing out too much and allowing the ball to slip out. So far been good for about 25-30 openings which I think is a record. Still looking for a long term solution.
