Did the big O-ring perhaps slip out of position while you were installing the bolts?

    ???O-ring????
J/K no it was seated nicely ,,
i did it with it off 2 --no go
install the old 1 (with the flat spot in the wear ring and it was right on )
i slid some motor mount shims(very thin compaired to washer)under the housing edge and it linned up MUCH better so I was looking to see anybody had installed them at 1 time or another
so ROLL CALL FOR ANYBODY THAT HAS SHIMMED THERE PUMP NOW/BEFORE
And Thank You for Your Support

Hi Matt, I have never seen anyone shim the pump(and I have ripped a few of these apart in my day ) But check with the main players on here(clint, bob and kedanno) They might be able to help you.

Sorry to sat my friend, I HAVE and am currently doing it. A washer is shimmed between my wear ring and hull on the G/F's 750. Too big a shim and you may get cavatation, so keep that in mind. I think Al has said to refiberglass that area if need be.

Thanks, thats what i needed to hear
the housing wall looks good and the origanial(sp)pump housing makes the alignment perfect,,,,so i kept thinking reglassing the wall is the last thing to try--its looks too good
    thanks all and Kevin
