can the end seals be replaced on the cables????they show a boot on my pro but it doesn't appear to ever have had it

To install the rod seal, remove the end eye and jam nut, slide the Seal rod boot over the end on around the outer sleeve.
There is a related seal shown on the parts diagrams, number 5411818, but that is for sealing the outer sleeve diameter to the hull pass-through fitting at the jet pump base.
I tried squirting some Teflon spray lube up along the rod sides into the sleeve, but I was not really satisfied with the amount of lube I could get up inside there.
If anyone knows a better way to really lubricate these steering and reverse rods and the long cables, let me know.
