    Question When to rebuild?

I have a 97 GSX. I just had it in the shop because of an electronic issue with the starting. They got it going and said "there is some top end engine noise, but it should last you the season without a problem" He went on to say that most likely it is due for a rebuild. When is a rebuild recommended? Is there certain criteria or # of hrs?

I heard that Sea-Doo builds for 300 hours of motor use..But that does't mean anything, all depends on how the ski was maintained.
