Bought a new toy...what do you guys think?

I have been looking at them for a while now. It is a 50" Bonzi Sports with a Zenoah BZX-2 mod motor that puts out 5.2HP at **16,500 RPM** WOW! The boat is supposed to run 62-65 MPH consistent on GPS, jeez it will almost run with the RXP. I was just going to buy one new, but I could not pass up this deal, especially with the $700 custom paint job. The best part of it was the guy I bought it from works at Bonzi so I know the boat has been well maintained and cared for. Anyways, I paid for it yesterday and should have it next week sometime around Wed . I can't Wait!!

A little over $1000, it would cost 2200+ to build one...our cost.

The Traxxas stuff is very good, I have had a T-Maxx and a Revo and loved them both. I have also had other electric and nitro power vehicles. This is my first gas boat, the biggest difference between say a Traxxas boat and a Bonzi boat is length, speed, and engines. Traxxas strictly uses nitro powered engines in all of their cars and boats. The bottom line was that I was sick of dicking with nitro, everytime I took the things out it seemed like the carb needed to be tuned to the littleist changes in humidity, temperature, etc. To buy a ready to run pump gas powered boat it will be a little more than a nitro set-up, but these boats are not mass produced, they are hand made for the most part and hand assembled and require very little maintenence for the performance that you are getting.

All of Bonzi's boat's are done in house and hand airbrushed. I can tell that this boat is pretty dirty and needs a little TLC on the exterior, but I have seen Bonzi's work first hand and I have to say that it is first class...

I know what you mean about adjusting the carb on the Traxxis...I have a Jato 2.5r and am constantly adjusting the carb on it...

    Very fast though....

    Nice boat....

put an os motor in your traxxas stuff, os motors are the best. barley ever have to tweak them, unless theres big temp difference between last time you ran it. I have one in my revo and I love it.
