motor mount shims
I have (2) front motor mount shims. Can I assume there is 1 for each side, or do they put 2 on one side and none on the other, and if so what side. My common sense tells me 1 on each, but I want to be positive.

typically, there is 1 factory motor mount shim per motor mount.
See part number 36

I had to take my intermediate shaft out so I had to take the bolts out from the motor to the mounts and saw the 2 shims in the back but i thought that there was no way that there was some in the front because it would be like impossible to get to. When I moved the motor forward the back 2 fell out and when I bolted it back it I just put the back 2 in. Would this cause a problem. It seems to be running fine.

download the manual and it will explain that the shims are there for the engine and drive shaft to be perfectly aligned, reducing wear and vibration. The measurement is shown, and is adjusted by adding/removing shims. Get it wrong and it will cause accelerated wear to the drive coupling.

I acctually had to take my front 2 out to get it alligned properly. Just follow the manual and you will be fine.
