96 Xp Compression
A friend of mine is going to look at and possibly buy a 96 XP. I told him how to check compression, but I don't know what the compression is supposed to be on a 96 XP. I used the search function and could not find it.

it should be in the area of 155 psig
anything below 130psig and there is is probably some high hours or ring wear

Don't forget elevation will change that compression. For a 800 up here to get 155 it would need a milled head.
My stock 96XP has 138 in each hole.
Also, not all comp gauges are the same. I would look more for the 2 cylinders having an even number +/- 5%
