    99 XL1200 ride plate/pump shoe brackets

I've read in this forum there are mounting brackets for the GPR to replace stock insert nuts (& globs of epoxy) for ride plate & pump shoe.

Can I get ones that bolt on the xl1200? Where can I get them & about how much can I get them for.

    Thanks,

    Brad Bealing

Use a dremel tool and sand flat the area that the insert (hexagon mold) was located... these worked good for me... i changed both ride plate brackets and pumpshoe...

This is probably the easy part. I already did the hard part---remove the epoxy globs. Man, what a pain that was! I ended up using a heat gun, chisel, small hammer and a lot of patience. I have another xl1200 to do this to. Is there any easier way?

I did last year when I fixed a cavitation problem, so I already have one done. But, I'm doing a complete rebuild of my stock ski. And, since everything's out I decided to remove the rest of them. Then, I'm putting an R&D intake grate on.

BTW, I posted a question about the availability of an immediate shaft holder (male type). Is there such a thing?
