    oil in crank case

will it hurt anything to pour oil in the crank case while i wait on pistons and cylinders, and then drain oil before putting engine back together? the engine is a 787 rotax. i just wanted to let the bearings soak while i am waiting.

when assembling my GPR, I would use a turkey baster and oil the bearings in the case halves. you should be fine.

2 stroke engines get their lubrication from the gas/oil mix or oil injection, there is no oil in the crankcases.

Rotax motors (not 951) have a cavity in the center of the motor that has oil in it that lubes the rotary valve shaft & bearings, but soes not lube the crank bearings or any other part of the motor.
