Biggest SC Wheel For A 14/19 On An SCIC 150?

What's the biggest SC Wheel I can get away with on an '07 SCIC 150 with a Solas 14/19 Prop?

I figured I'd be able to hold out til the end of the summer with modding the SC, but I am getting my parts alot faster & cheaper than I expected.

...and if the biggest wheel I can run with the 14/19 will require other parts, let me know too (injectors, ECU, RRFPR)

My advice to a friend, which just happens to be what I consider my fellow boaters, would be to get the S3 SC at the price they're going for now. You can run that with 42# injectors, which can be had pretty cheap here. As far as the prop, I ran that setup with a 14/19 +2mm and it worked well. I could only turn a 15/20 when the water was cold (almost never in FL). The 15/20 gave me another mph on top (or maybe the cold water did), but the acceleration award went to the 14/19. I use an untouched 15/20 with my Rude now; I was getting 10.0 pounds of boost out of the S3 SC, and I'm getting 11.0 out of the Rude (8100rpms).

And what would that get me on GPS? just under 60mph? Like 58-59ish?

I would really like to be at about 65mph, but I'll attempt to tackle that next summer.

From what I have gathered on here, the 150's are only good for about 65-67mph, correct??

I got to an average 60.5mph with that setup, so you will too, being farther north.

I haven't heard of anyone above 63mph in an S150, but yeah, I couldn't see how someone would get above 67 in one, since we don't have the luxury of some of the mods like a ride plate. I think an 8600rpm ECU, one of the most powerful superchagers & intercooler (and all other necessary mods) could get you near 67. More than that would take a turbo, serious fuel management, aluminum intake, etc.

Nice, thanks for the help. Looks like my next purchase is the S3 & 42's

...hopefully it's only a matter of time until we can get some Luxury Items for the S150's.

    ...Just 1 more question

If I got the 15/20 Prop, the C5 Monster Wheel Kit, and 42lb Injectors, would I be good with that? Would I need any other parts or bigger Injectors?

My water temps up here are in the mid 50's early in the season, but can be in the mid to high 80's by the end of the season.

A think the C5 is compariable to the S3 SC, maybe just .5 psi stronger, but have seen only one result so far. Someone said they got 12.0# @ 8260, so that's just 11.0 @ 8100. I'm sure either one would be fine.

Living in Florida, I have no experience with cold water, but many skis have that setup, so I'd search the 4-tec performance forum for that answer. Cold water can definitely lean your mixture out.

Thanks Scott, I'll just stick to the original plan with the S3 & 42's.

I'm converting over from the 2-stroke world so all the new 4-Tec stuff is tricky for me right now. But I'll pick up on it soon.
