    Crank Case Reassembly Questions

Im putting the crankcase on my Sl750 back together, and im wondering if there is anything i should do before i close it up, and whats the best stuff to use to seal it. Where do i get this stuff, and i assume apply a small bead to every flat area on one half?

I have new crank seals, but i dont know how to remove the driveshaft side two.

    Thanks.

you can remove the coupler by using a big adjustable and turning counterclockwise...hold the crankshaft by a big grip holder..

Probably called the coupler. Its the big metal piece on the end of the crank that the driveshaft goes into, and stops my end seals from coming off on the one end.

I will see if i got something big to try and twist this off...

For sealing the case use Yamabond or 3M 1211. You need to remove the coupler to get the seals off.

I think he meant Three Bond 1211 sealant.
Yamabond has been discontinued, and recommend Three Bond 1194

    Quality is priceless.

I personally think 1211 is superior to the other products.
