? about the RXP in the chop?
Ok i just bought an 06 RXP as some of you may know from my previous thread, and i know that the s/c clutches are crap on these things although mine being an 06 the ceramics are a bit beafier. Now i was told when riding in chop i should let off the gas when i hit a wave to help save the clutch, now see here's were im kinda confused , how big is this chop were talkin about. Is it ok to keep on the throttle in little chop like 1ft er's or what , like can someone explain to me what they ment by letting of in the chop? or are we talk like actual wave jumping?

Big enough to unhook the pump, if all you feel/hear is the hull slaming the chop then you're ok.
If your nose goes up and the engine revs up, then down, then up and so on then that's when you want to be careful.

If you come out of the water let off the throttle slightly before you land back in the water.

it's the sudden almost instant rpm drop when the pump gets back in the water that's rough on the clutches.

Trim down and you won't unhook as much.
