Carb Jettings On A Near Stock 750...

Im converting my 93 SL650 to a Sl750, might use high compression domes with 92 octane. I should be able to get some jets tomorrow, and its kinda a long drive so i would like to get the right ones.

What jets should i get? I think i have 75's on the high and low right now. I might want to run premix, but i think i will stick with injection for now.

    Bump?

Why is there generally a different high jet on each cyl?

I'd get the stock 750 jets and the next size larger for both the pilots and mains.
The center carb typically uses a smaller high spd jet than the pto and mag because it has less of a load than the others, thus requiring less fuel.

Are the heads the only change it will have from stock? F/A upgrade too?

Im going to be running high compression with a tripple output pump, but basically stock besides that. Maybie a muffler without baffles. And of course the 650 dry pipe, since it was a 650.

Guess i will get the stock 94 SL750 Jets, maybie a step up too.

I think you will want to go bigger then one size with the dry pipe.

The 93 750 had 77.5 main with 72.5 low. 16* timing, and I believe used the same dry pipe as the 650 for that year.

So that would be really close I'd assume. HOWEVER, the 93 650 timing was 18* and would affect jetting slightly.

High compression heads will also affect adjustment, not so much jetting from what I've been told. Basically a 1/2 turn on the high speed needle.
