    To part out 96 slx 750 / 93 sl 750 ?????

I need some advice on this side. Ive come across a couple of single trailers (one is brand new, other in good condition) with each having polaris watercraft on them. One is a 96 slx 750 in decent shape other than a large crack at the rear but the motor appears to be pristine - I couldnt get it started and I dont have an accurate compression gauge but it seemed to turn over pretty hard. The 93 750 has seen its better days and I didnt even try to turn it over, it basically just looks very rough. The question here is - should I try and part out the motors or try and sell as complete motors. I realize I could try and sell some of the externals - pumps, props, electrical etc.... Anyone need anything off either of these 2 skis???? Advise or offers are apprecitated.

If you can get the 96 (780, not 750 for that year. Unless someone did a swap) engine started, I'd bet the complete engine would get good $$$$.

As for the 750, a few guys are looking for good cyls, pistons and heads should you decide to part it out.

thanks but it is a 750. I will try and get it started and pull the motor for sale. I Will let it go at a very fair price once I get it out. I just dont need the motors or the hulls- I really dont have room in my garage, I just want the trailers.

Ok, I got the Polaris SLX into my garage and onto a stand, put some fresh gas in it and new plugs and it started right up. It idles and revs perfect. I noticed that it has Ocean Pro flame arrestors - the slx's didnt come stock with those did they? Anyway, its a running machine Only problem is that I need this thing gone and out of my garage. As the pics show the hull has taken a pretty good lick at the right rear and the seat has seen its better days. I would really love to sell the entire ski as is to avoid pulling the motor and parting it out. Im thinking 500 bucks for the whole thing???????? Anyone interested???

You'd be mistaken if you said it's a 750. It IS a 780 (I can tell by the exh manifold) and yes, the OP flame arrestors came stock.

That's an xlint deal for $500.

Really? No where on this machine does it indicate a 780 or any number matter of fact, not even on the title. Thanks for the clarification You want it? In your opinion, do you think I ought to try and sell it as is or pull the motor and try selling the block, carbs, flame arrestors, starter etc... separatly? Is there a market for 780 motors and parts?

Case should have a stamp on it at the back Exh side. Prob says 96 78 etc...

Keep it assembled and put it on Ebay. Should fetch about $500-600.

And yeah, sell the carbs, FA's, jet pump, intake grate, etc...

I wish, but I'm in OH and have enough parts already. Thanks

Post a clear picture of the bar code label on top of the water bar. (Use close-up mode on the camera - Flower icon).

It should have 780 within the long code. It also has the serial number of the engine block on the same sticker (unless someone has swapped the water bar).
