    fuel pump check valves?????

Hey can someone help me out I just rebuilt my carbs but I either donít understand how to test the check valves or I did something wrong.

If I understand the below attachment I should be able to blow in the inlet but now be able to suck. Is this correct??? I can suck air from the inlet.

    Thanks a bunch,

Check that the rubber fastners are FULLY seated through the pump and that the valves seat.

The check valves are shaped like a bowl/lid. The rubber fastners should press through the bottom of a bowl not the top of a lid.

I don't agree with that method. What about checking the other one?

Disassemble and visually checking is the only sure way, IMO.
