Looks like the prop wasn't tightened enough and came loose...stripping it out?

Email the pic to David @ www.impros.com

He might be able to weld and retap the threads, probably much cheaper than buying a new prop.

Then all you'll have to get is a new pump shaft and seal.

I'd dab some "Right Stuff" around the damaged glass where the prop hit, and let her ride!

Impeller never been off but I'm thinking the thousands of jumps and standing her on her end may had something to do with it

Once I get her fix I'll do a torque check once a year

Thanks, I'll give them a call

Wow! You're the first person I've ever heard of a stock prop coming loose.

Man...you need to email BRP about that one! I bet the dude installing ran out of Loctite and barely even tightened yours.

    Good luck with the repairs...

Maybe mine was the first one off the line and the new guy didn't get the memo intime to add the locktight

Yeap I got this GSXL back in Feb 98 and the only problem it really had was the drive shaft seal started sucking air. Mostly likely cause from me not greasing the seal for a few years

She along with my 96 GTI just drink the fuel and oil with no major issue's even staying outside in the snow and rain, covered of course. Heck I've spent more money on trailer tires than anything else over the years.

I don't beach the ski's. I moor them with a weight and float about 10 feet from the shoreline so no rocks or sand gets into the pump. That might help some ??

    Gotta love those 2 strokes
