    Purchasing an RXP

I have the chance to buy a 2004 RXP with 150 hours on it for $4000. It hasnt had any SC issues and comes from a mechanic at a local dealership. I was wondering if this is a good deal or not for what it is. It currently has the ceramic washers in it, but I plan on replacing them over the winter. Does anyone know exactly how much that fix will cost??

If it doesn't have an extended warranty, pass on it...

Why so cheap? Gotta ask yourself. How does it have 150 hours and still have ceramics? Big question!
I personally have ext warranties on mine because I don't like rebuilding motors.
IF you do decide to buy, take it to the lake before you do and make sure you're getting at least 8000 rpms and 67+ mph in smooth water. If not don't buy it.
    That's my opinion.

    Hey rizseayam,
check this out---might be a good deal for you, instead of just changing washers you'll have a whole new spare CS:

but the problem is, if your Seadoo breaks it can VERY expensive to repair properly, so if it doesn't have an extended warranty I would find another ski...
    my 2 cents

Thanks for the good advice!! I checked out that link and sent him an email. I'd rather fix a big potential problem before it occurs! How many hours can I expect to get out of the 4stroke Seadoo?

If it has not had sc washer failure 4k is a good deal on that ski. I bought my 04 from a friend and it had 110 hours on it when I bought it. For those 110 hours it ran the ceramic washers with no failure. I know for a fact others have had more hours on their skis with the ceramics and no problems.

Just because it had no warranty does not mean you should pass on it. Just look into it a little more, maybe ride it, and If its in all around good shape/working order take it!
