I have a friend of mines who just purchased a 250. He's bone stock and would like to add a few more mph. What mods can he put on his machine and what can he expect. I have no idea since i own a Sea Doo but would like to help him out. Thank You.

A ride plate will help. Riva has the speed plate. Expected gains are 2-3 mph, but that is only if it is seated properly. My plate was hanging down a tiny bit causing drag and I only saw .5 mph, but it is presently being worked on, so hopefully I get more results when it is done. A cheap mod is BOV block off. The stock BOV is junk, so most people just block it off. He needs to get more air, so look into mods for this. The flat filter is good that goes under the glove box. RAM air mod helps too. The pulley kit helps a lot I hear. Mine is being installed this week. Expected gains are 2-3 mph, but it can be pricey. R&D has two kits out. The performer kit uses stock injectors and cost a G. The stage I kit has new injectors and some other stuff and costs in the vicinity of 1700. Other companies are coming out with cheaper versions that do the same thing. Many other mods give you minimal gains that many feel are not worth the money.

I forgot about the 2 degree wedge. Its cheap, raises the bow out of the water, and gives around 1 mph.
