    Fuel thoughts

I normally run 93 octane from the gas stations in town. Obviously there is 10% ethanol in it. The ski smells like its running rich.

My friend used to use the same fuel but now the marina he works at carries 90 with no ethanol mix. He used that in his yamaha and his rich smell has gone away and the ski runs alot smoother.

I am going to try out the 90 with no ethanol and see what happens.

After all it hurts you to have higher octane than needed, burns slower, and ethanol = less mileage.

    Ethonal sucks.
It wont hurt the motor but its a cheap power robbing additive. Still your ski will be fine running the Premium with ethonal and your helping the eco system. .

    What's an ecosystem?

I meant hurt "you" as in no reason for it, not that it will hurt the ski.

I don't believe in that global warming stuff, so I like my straight fuel heeh

I dont know about the ethenol not hurting the ski, I just had a problem with my Procraft bass boat, the ethenol is delaminating the fuel supply line going from my gas tank to the engine, cost me $120 to have them clean the fuel system out............

In Cali. I've yet to see "ethenol" at the stations. Not that I ever looked for it though. I'm going to start paying attention though. We only have 91 here though.

Dont jump me if Im wrong but I believe that by law they have to inform the consumer on the pump that Ethanol is used and at what percentage is being added.

You may be right. I noticed a few threads asking about Ethonal, I've never paid attention, but I did the last time i filled up my car. Did not see ANYTHING that said Ethenal! Thats a good thing. Now I gotta find me some 93 octane for my race this week!
